Zelma Stone’s music is raw, cinematic, and rooted in sad-boy indie. The last few years brought a “perfect storm”: the breakup of a longtime partner, resurfacing grief from the loss of their brother, mother, grandfather, and close friend Jenny, coming out as queer, exploring their gender identity, and a diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
Their highly anticipated debut LP turns pain into a lush intensity with hauntingly honest songs that are strangely addictive. Self-produced by Zelma, with select tracks produced by Gabe Wax (Soccer Mommy, Helena Deland, Adrianne Lenker) and Cal Barter (Faye Webster, Courtney Barnett, Kurt Vile).
