Mayya is inspired by those who are unapologetically themselves, and aspires to create a positive environment through her melodic, energetic music.

Her band puts on fun filled performances, while her solo act is known to have a charming and vulnerable lyrical quality alongside intricate guitar work.

Her band has shared bills with a variety of artists such as Deerhoof, Mike Watt, Luna, Shannon Shaw, Kid Congo Powers, Death Valley Girls, Tropa Magica, Tim Presley, The Avengers, Downtown Boys, and Dick Stusso while her solo stylings have landed her shows with John Doe, Jeffrey Lewis, John Hiatt, Alejandro Escovedo, and Kelley Stoltz, as well as playing The Fillmore Poster Room on nights of Patti Smith and Gogol Bordello.

Mayya also currently plays bass with La Luz, Mild Universe, and Mae Powell, and formerly toured on bass with Chris Cohen.
