"Bay Area DIY is finally biting back. Longtime El Rio booker Tyla Jones wanted to help the musicians around her, who were struggling to find meaningful support. She launched Total Accord Agency last year and began signing artists who all had something in common. Beyond their talent, these may just be the kindest and most authentic people in our music scenethose who embody San Francisco's mythologized history as a place to truly be yourself. The roster comprises veterans such as Yea-Ming, Luke Sweeney, and Anna Hillburg, as well as newcomers like PENA, Davia Schendel, and Casey Cope. Everyone seems committed to staying firmly planted in the Bay Area (rent control willing)."
